About BAC Water
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection
Research background as published in the scientific literature. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only; nothing here is a claim about use in humans or animals.
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (BAC water) is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. It is the standard solvent used for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides prior to use in laboratory protocols.
The benzyl alcohol acts as a bacteriostatic agent, inhibiting microbial growth and allowing the vial to be used for multiple withdrawals over the course of a research protocol. Each 10ML vial provides sufficient volume for reconstituting multiple peptide vials depending on the research protocol's concentration requirements.

- Compatibility
- Most research peptides
- 01Benzyl Alcohol PreservationBacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which inhibits microbial growth. This allows the reconstituted solution to remain stable across multiple withdrawals over an extended period, unlike standard sterile water for injection.
- 02Peptide ReconstitutionBAC water is the standard solvent for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides. The bacteriostatic agent helps maintain sterility of the multi-use vial throughout the research protocol without degrading peptide integrity.
- 03pH CompatibilityBAC water is compatible with the majority of research peptides at physiological pH ranges. It is the preferred reconstitution solvent for most lyophilised peptides in laboratory research settings due to its stability and multi-use properties.
